“The Struggle of Living Pure at Heart” is the new album of Alexu, released in 2020.
He asked me to come up with a interesting idea for the cover so I thought it would be nice if along with the CD there will also be a mini illustration album inspired by his songs and he was very happy to support this concept.
My first approach was to illustrate different creatures in human postures but since this idea wasn’t approved by the artist I got back to the human figures. This is why you can see here both versions of illustrations.
This was an awesome experience for me and I encourage you to listen to Alexu’s music too!
“A Pig’s Story” written by Ion Creanga and published in Romania by the Editura Casa Radio, this book is an unique combination of classical Romanian folk tale and new sequential art storytelling. The package also contains an audio disc with radio theater played by amazing Romanian actors that make the experience even more authentic.
I really loved working on this project that gived me the opportunity to illustrate one of stories I often heard during my childhood years. I also felt free to explore and express my self as free and as creative as possible.

In December- 2019, an amazing project from the History Museum in Brasov came as a wonderful surprise! The team decided to make a huge comic book project that hosted 39 artist that illustrated 39 stories with their unique view about the events that took place 30 years back, in Romania in 1989. This book is a work of art and a real historical testimony about the fall of the communist era. I was very happy and honored to be a part of this incredible project.

The winning 3 pages of the short comic “Cosmic Adventure” that I’ve made for a local event named “Romania 100 in benzi desenate” (Romanian 100 in Comic Pages) organized in 2018 by the History Museum in Brasov to celebrate 100 years of Romanian history.
The comic illustrates the life and adventure of the first Romanian astronaut that went into space in 1981, Dumitru Prunariu. The panels are inspired from articles and memories recounted by Mr. Prunariu himself.
I loved working on this project since this is one of my favorite subjects and because I have so much admiration and respect for people that have the courage to try and change the world like Mr. Dumitru Prunariu.

These are few pages from a graphic novel that, sadly, I never had the chance to finish.
This is a story about the relation between an institutionalized boy from Romania and a foreigner, young volunteer, that evolves into a strong friendship in a harsh, corrupt environment. It's a story inspired by true facts; a story that tries to raise awareness about the chaotic situation in these places, and make people realize that they must fight to make a change.
Here are my dearest characters Xiu and Papoi that started off as short webcomic published episodically in Revista Comics (a local publication), ended up in a self published zine and now continuing their story in my second attempt to get them published. This is a short sample from my next personal project named "Papoi, Book 2- Lost!"

This is a selection of character concepts for low poly mobile game characters made while I was still working in the game industry. I really love creating low poly characters adding a cartoon overall feeling, simple shapes are always my favorite and playing with texture on a 3D model gives me the power to add more value to the initial concept.
