Graphic concepts, pencils and inks by Xenia Pamfil
Hallmark's '80s icon Rainbow Brite is back, reimagined and written by Jeremy Whitley, the series is the latest addition to Dynamite Entertainment's line of kid-friendly comics. Rainbow Brite captured the imaginations of kids born in the '80s as a fantasy heroine who could change the world not just through magic, but through kindness.
Concept, pencils, ink, and color by Xenia Pamfil. Also teamed up on several issues with Christine Hipp (inks).
Working side by side with Jeremy Whitley (scenarist) and a team of professionals on more than 13 issues to continue shaping the world of independent woman having the most incredible adventure as pirates (my favorite subject) is an amazing experience.
After almost 6 years of exchanging ideas, doodleing, concepting and working on my first comic book, in 2014 I got the chance to publish this project with Action Lab Entat, at the New York Comic Con. You can read more about the book and the event here
The book contains eleven chapters drawn in eleven different styles, outlining the idea that every day is different and new adventures are waiting just around the corner.

"Fly" is a short comic for a collective publication about the desire of freedom. The publication is named "UN1.0N" and it is published in Romania.
The winning 3 pages of the short comic “Cosmic Adventure” that I’ve made for a local event named “Romania 100 in benzi desenate” (Romanian 100 in Comic Pages) organized in 2018 by the History Museum in Brasov to celebrate 100 years of Romanian history.
The comic illustrates the life and adventure of the first Romanian astronaut that went into space in 1981, Dumitru Prunariu. The panels are inspired from articles and memories recounted by Mr. Prunariu himself.
I loved working on this project since this is one of my favorite subjects and because I have so much admiration and respect for people that have the courage to try and change the world like Mr. Dumitru Prunariu.
These are few pages from a graphic novel that, sadly, I never had the chance to finish. This is a story about the relation between an institutionalized boy from Romania and a foreigner, young volunteer, that evolves into a strong friendship in a harsh, corrupt environment. It's a story inspired by true facts; a story that tries to raise awareness about the chaotic situation in these places, and make people realize that they must fight to make a change.
Here are my dearest characters Xiu and Papoi that started off a short webcomic, ended up in a self published zine and now continuing their story in my second attempt to get them published. This is a short sample from my next personal project named "Papoi, Book 2- Lost!"
